But why PHI ?

I have chosen the “φ” because it embodies the ideals I made mine over the years.
It is the mathematical symbol of the “golden section” and the initial of the name of Phidias, ancient sculptor and architect, who used this proportion in his work.

Its perfection has always been my biggest inspiration.

Its geometry, the math followed by Nature in everything it creates, has always shown the link between macro and microcosm, man and God, the universe and Nature.

“φ” in the probability theory denotes the function of a random variable, something unexpected or unpredictable.
My work is based on years of experience, during which terms as proportions, harmony, beauty, practicality and space became the values that gave me the tools I use to create my pieces and overcome every problem.
Using these “tricks of the trade”, I can now break the rules, using asymmetry or introducing something “random” (the “φ”).
Here lies the added value of artisanal pieces, it lies in the experience built day after day, through commitment and sacrifice, leading every artisan to develop a certain sensitività in their work.

This way, every single detail of his pieces can be tailored to the space he works on, taking inspiration from the unexpected, from a need or from an impromptu request made by the client, who always plays an active role in the birth of his custom pieces.
The initial project defines every technical aspect of the job, but working on site, sharing ideas with clients, makes it
grow and evolve, giving them the pleasure of having something that has been really crafted for them.
