I was born in Seravezza (LU) in 1970. After graduating from the Art Institute of Pietrasanta, an internationally recognized city of art, I begin mosaic practice at the “Favret” workshop in Pietrasanta. In 1991 I attend a course in Spilimbergo, a city of mosaic tradition, as a mosaic installer. In 1994 at the Stainer Institute in Ravenna, another symbolic city of Byzantine mosaic, I take classes in design and technique of the “ravennate” method with Marco Bravura and Marco Santi. Since 2001 I have been running the Mosaici Artistici workshop in Pietrasanta where I collaborate with artists, perform work for companies and produce personal works. In 2008 I attend a refresher course at Irtec – CNR in Faenza for restoration and maintenance with Prof, Michele Macchiarola. Among the most significant projects I can point out the collaboration, from a project by Mimmo Paladino, for the covering of the square in Vinci (FI), the wall mosaic of the apse of the church of San Pantaleone in Medesano (Parma), the wall covering of a residence of Russian President Putin in St. Petersburg, the realization of the mosaic for a synagogue in New York. Alongside the realization, the work of teaching at educational and professional institutes and the exhibition of some of my works within national and international collective exhibitions.URSULA CORSI
