WHAT DOES GILDE MEAN ?

Gilde are creative hangers drawn out of vintage wooden shoe-moulds. Made using recyclable materials as clothes, old jeans, set of samples… some of them over 50 years old.

Gilde are handcrafted in Italy and are unique pieces with an exclusive touch: the finishing of each model can be repeated in limited collection.

My work is tailor-made for each customer and is for me very exhalting create every time a magic synergy between ideas, materials and style.

LIFETIME ART IN A NEW FORM

This project was officially born in 2010, after the retirement of my dad, who worked as shoemaker all along his life.

I started painting and producing wooden moulds with classic shoes models as “Derby”, “Décolleté” and “Slipper”.

Increasing my knowledge and improving my manual technique drove my greater interest for the creation of an upper dressing on the mould.

I felt the need to create something not to be wear but wearing itself the real print mark of an ancient craft and the creativity of a scene painter together.

Gilde are an idea that makes a new use of something, that gives a new expression to items otherwise discarded.
