Miki Eleta’s clocks are contemporary masterpieces in the tradition of Swiss haute horlogerie. Each of his works of art is unique, handmade, timeless and elegant. A deep fascination for kinetic art and timekeeping drives Miki Eleta’s uncompromising search for technical and design innovation. He abandons established standards and thought patterns, combining complex mechanics with emotionally appealing displays in a fascinating contemporary design. Full creative freedom, the highest quality standards and the complete production of exclusively mechanical clocks in his own workshop characterize him. The starting materials are brass sheets, steel rods, precious stones, gold and silver. Starting with loosely sketched sequences of ideas and unprocessed metal, Miki Eleta embarks on a journey into unknown territory with each project. It is only in the course of the work, when the cogwheels and levers come together in an initial interplay, that the mechanical and creative possibilities of the idea begin to emerge and the clock takes on its unique form. Miki Eleta draws on his rich life experience in his creative work. Personal experiences and observations flow into the development of his clocks. He wants to arouse curiosity in the viewers of the clocks, evoke questions and invite them to linger and watch the passing of time in all its beauty. Miki Eleta is at YouNique Lugano in representing Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship and Homo Faber , partner of YouNique Lugano. Miki Eleta will be available to all visitors to YouNique 2024 to demonstrate his craft and tell his unique story.MIKI ELETA UNIQUE TIMEPIECES
