ELISABETH HÜBSCHER

Elisabeth Hübscher enjoys experimenting in both painting and sculpture, drawing inspiration from nature. Her preferred painting technique is egg tempera, chosen for its natural quality and softness. In her paintings, she seeks a harmonious balance through a few but meaningful formal elements. In her sculptures, however, the narrative becomes richer, incorporating elements that invite the viewer to recreate a plausible, often metaphorical, scene.

Moving from clay to plaster, wax, and bronze is a seamless transition for her. Each piece reveals a duality, whether through the choice of colors, materials, or surface treatments—glossy or matte—accentuated by engravings and details that enhance expressiveness. Through a committed, consistent, and passionate exploration, Elisabeth Hübscher strives to resolve the complexity of reality with both strength and grace, offering a luminous and optimistic vision of existence. Her works command silent, respectful observation, radiating a sense of fulfillment, peace, and serenity.

Following an inner journey to capture the soul of things—their deepest and most precious essence—she develops an artistic language rooted in minimalism. This approach generates harmonious forms and figures imbued with mystery. Her works inhabit space as ancestral presences, silent witnesses to a Nature in constant metamorphosis, the eternal generator of Life.
