Through a committed, constant, motivated and exciting research Elisabeth Hübscher tries to solve, with strength and at the same time with grace, the complexity of reality in a bright and optimistic vision of existence.

Her sculptures communicate that sense of sacredness that is increasingly rare in contemporary art; they impose a silent and respectful observation, but replacing with a range of sensations of satisfaction, peace and serenity.

Following an inner path aimed at grasping  the soul of things, their deepest and most precious essence, she elaborates on an artistic level an expressive language marked by reduction that generates  essential, harmonious forms and figures full of mystery, wrapped in an aura of silence and waiting. They place themselves in space as ancestral presences, silent witnesses of a continuous metamorphosis, eternal generator of life.

This interesting field belongs to the series dedicated to the ABBRACCI, phytomirfe works, vaguely spherical, natural forms that are not always identifiable, that are characterized by their linearity (never geometric), for their simpliciy (never trivial), for their shape (never perfect in the classical sense). They are always characterized by engravings, cuts, superficial stains or deep splits that reveal their interior and their secret intimacy. They are signed of a traumatic but inevitable event, necessary because in the order of things. Through them, the artist seems to tell us that existence itself is a continuous metamorphosis and change, even when it is loaded with suffering, can lead to a new situation of peace; perhaps even to a new joy and a new beauty.

In the group compositions the sculptor fully expresses her vision of society, leading us to reflect on the values that support it and on the evils that corrupt it.

Original, and really interesting on the plane of symbolic reading, are the drapes of people arranged in circles, tightened to each other, turned inside. Distinguished by body size, height and age, they appear to support themselves, united by mutual comfort and recollection. It is impossible to draw a unique interpretation; the composition may appear as the emblem of a suffering humanity, under threat, seeking shelter, or, in a less dramatic and more expansive perspective, such as social cohesion based on affection and brotherhood. LA SALITA also offers many suggestions and interpretations.

With discretion, the author suggests but does not impose; it stimulates the critical sense of the viewer and retracts, waiting for a reaction, thus granting to those who observe the works the freedom of an open and personal reading.”
