Of Italian origin, I was born and raised in Melide, a town on the shores of Lake Lugano in Switzerland. Teacher of plastic arts, sculptor and painter. I love Nature that inspires in me wonder, well-being and great intensity of feelings. When I can, I paint directly outside. I learned the original manual technique from the expert and profound artist Boutros Romhein and later began to develop the approach to marble with electrical equipment following the teachings of the great sculptor from Carrara, Giorgio Andrei. My work is thus constantly evolving. In my sculptural subjects, I often love not to completely define the subject, I let the splendid material, which is its origin, be glimpsed. Here too I bring subjects of Nature or symbolic forms arising from inspiration with the intent of creating something that releases energy, connection with the Earth and the Cosmos and that refers to beauty and harmony. The joy that arises in the creative act is immense and from there the desire to present my works with the longing to arouse emotions in those who observe! REVIEW Prof. Elisabetta Costi Teacher at the “School of Restoration and Painting” Corte di Lavacchio Massa-Carrara June 2017 I had the pleasure of opening Olga’s exhibition in Carrara, at the “Galleria del Borgo” topresent her artistically to friends and acquaintances but also to the numerous customerswho joined attracted by her works so particular and interesting. Olga Angela is a multifaceted and creative artist who expresses herself graphically, pictorially and also as a sculptor. Olga is from Lugano and here she acquired scholastically the basics of drawing, watercolour and the proportional settings of the work. These structural bases have served her to reach her aesthetic but also ethical goal: the joy that nature transmits to us. Everything in her turns to this end, even the predilection for watercolour: a technique that allows her those results of particular freshness and immediacy. Portraying nature is her way of exalting it because she finds in it a feeling that ignites hers, therefore transforming naturalism into lyricism. Olga paints with few drawing references and her primary stylistic interest is light, light that invests the object and transforms it into colour thus becoming the great protagonist of her work. But this light also wants to represent her feeling born from the vision of nature, so it becomes an impression-expression.OLGA ANGELA MATTIOLI
Since I was a child I have always loved drawing, painting, creating.
Over the years, thanks to my education first and to attending courses later, I have learned and deepened my knowledge of drawing, watercolour, mixed media and acrylic.
Painting was followed by sculpture on marble.
There is a common thread in all of Olga’s creations, from sculpture to poetry the reading is the same: joy, nature, enthusiasm, emotion.Vedi anche:
