MARCO ANDOLFI

Marco Andolfi is a private collector, and his art exhibition is located in Ascoli Piceno in collaboration with Casabella Design srl. There, part of the collection can be viewed in a unique showroom setting, blending art with furniture and design. His passion for art has deep roots, and he tells the story himself:

“In a society now blind to beauty and insensitive to feelings, it is art’s duty to save the world. Faced with modern humanity, which has lost even the hope of dreaming, it is up to art to reignite the spark. The artist is, in fact, the one who can still give form and substance to dreams, the one who can give shape to emotions and feelings. Wonder exists both outside and within us… but to grasp it, we must re-educate humanity to marvel. That feeling we had the first time we saw snow, or when we plunged into the sea, that magic of the first kiss, of first love. Awakening the ability to dream and see beauty in humanity is the mission of painting.

In front of a Van Gogh or a Raphael, just like before a sunrise or a sunset, one cannot remain indifferent. The painter possesses both the ability to dream and the stubbornness of Icarus, ready to soar on wings of wax just to fly… and at the same time unable to resist the temptation to approach the light, the warmth, and the beauty of the sun. Thus, every painter puts their whole self into their work; it is a flight toward the light for which they are willing to sacrifice themselves… because it is better to die of emotion than to live without it!”
