Manuela Rossi

The art of Manuela Rossi brings together design and painting with refined harmony, creating a visual language in which matter and transparency, form and abstraction interact in balance. Trained as an architect and designer, Rossi constructs works with structural rigor yet permeated by fluidity and lightness, guiding the eye through an elegant and meditative visual rhythm.

Her stylistic signature lies in the use of plexiglass and transparent materials, on which she draws with oil markers sinuous lines that evoke stylized, dreamlike female figures suspended between dream and reality. The layering and reflections create depth and engage the viewer in a play between the real and the immaterial, transforming each work into a shifting perceptual experience.

Black lines and golden details transform the bodies into fluid architectures, while voids and shadows become integral parts of the composition, amplifying its scenic effect and suggesting a continuity between the artwork and the space that hosts it. The artist explores the theme of feminine presence as a vital principle, an energy that expands beyond the figure to become pure visual vibration.

Her research, which also extends to design and jewelry, reveals a constant interest in form, mark, and light—elements that become a poetic language and a stylistic identity. Present in international exhibitions and prestigious fairs, Rossi explores a suggested sensuality, never explicit, offering an art that is elegant, essential, and timeless, where beauty manifests itself in transparency, in the lightness of the line, and in the silent dialogue between body and space.

Each work seems to breathe, changing with the light and the point of view, as if it possessed a life of its own capable of interacting with the environment. In this balance between solidity and evanescence, Rossi invites slow and intimate contemplation, where the observer recognizes themselves in the floating forms and visual silences. Her poetics thus become a bridge between art and architecture, between intuition and design, between thought and emotion. In this constant dialogue, her art celebrates the gentle strength of the feminine, making the invisible visible and restoring to matter a spiritual dimension.

Also exhibiting with Manuela Rossi in Room 6 of Villa Ciani is artist Baptiste Lefevre.

In the hands of Baptiste Lefevre, metal ceases to be matter and becomes emotion. Forged in the heat of the gesture, it transforms into a fluid, almost carnal line that seeks to contain sweetness within hardness, to reveal light through the density of iron. Heir to ancestral artisanal knowledge, he ventures beyond technique, into that fragile territory where the rigor of the craft meets the sensitivity of the creator.
