The Crumb Gallery in Florence was founded in May 2019 with the aim of promoting, disseminating, and supporting the work of female artists operating in the field of contemporary art (painting, sculpture, photography, installations, performance). Its mission is to exclusively enhance and protect female artistic production and to help bridge the economic and cultural gap that still persists between male and female artists. It is the first gallery in Europeexclusively dedicated to women. The Crumb Gallery project was born from the passion of four women: Rory Cappelli, journalist for Repubblica with a long history of covering art, travel, and culture (Art e Dossier, Carnet, Viaggi di Repubblica, and catalog curations); Lea Codognato, a communication expert in the cultural sector and founder of one of Italy’s leading communication agencies (Davis&Co); Adriana Luperto, a multifaceted artist who has exhibited in prestigious solo and group shows, including the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2007); and Emanuela Mollica, an architect specializing in cultural heritage and museum projects (Gallerie degli Uffizi, Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze, Musei del Bargello). LA GALERIE-CASLANO | Room 34
La Galerie-Caslano, located in the heart of Caslano on Lake Lugano, is a key reference point in the world of contemporary art. Founded by Mariagrazia Poncia and Jean-Marc Jobin, La Galerie-Caslano celebrates the artistic legacy of Jean-Pierre Groppx (Groppi), a distinguished painter born in Livorno in 1943 and who passed away in 2004 in Cernobbio, on Lake Como. Mariagrazia wished to create this art space in honor of her late husband, who was highly regarded for his significant contribution to the art world. Jean-Pierre Groppx (Groppi) received praise from numerous art critics, including Indro Montanelli, for his impactful work in the contemporary art scene. The mission of La Galerie-Caslano is to promote and support local and international artists through various art forms, including paintings, sculptures, and more, offering the public a rich and meaningful cultural experience. The gallery organizes cultural events, exhibitions, and conferences, fostering the dissemination of artistic knowledge and encouraging engagement from both the local and international community. PUNTO SULL’ARTE is a leading gallery for Italian and international contemporary figurative art.
