Vincenzo Accardo

Vincenzo Accardo is 48 years old. 2020 marked the magical moment when he decided to turn all his technical and artistic skills into art, using light to “shade” colors. He was born in Canada on May 16, 1977, to parents of Sicilian origin. Only five years later, his family decided to move to Italy, to Cossato in the province of Biella. There, he attended compulsory school, where his excellent technical and artistic drawing skills quickly emerged. Considering the many events of the time and the difficulty of emerging in an artistic world, he later chose to continue his studies in a more technical field.

He never sat idle after work: he often designed, invented, drew, built, and colored with his children, always keeping a close eye on his schedule, because work was the only thing that forced him to disconnect from the fantasy world he was immersed in when he created.

In the year of his separation from his wife, in 2020, he decided to change his life and move to Cuveglio in the province of Varese. In 2024, he participated in the Ferrara Biennale only for an exhibition. In previous years, he had created a collection of artistic illuminated ornaments that had never been exhibited publicly. The exhibition in Lugano for the YouNique Boutique Fair of Arts will be his first exhibition with actual sale of works to which he feels a deep connection, each with a particular connection.
