Her practice is the construction of a world where light is the primordial agent: the engine of change, actor and reactor, the guiding star. Born from a background in software architecture, science, and numbers, her inquiry is founded on a single premise: to treat artistic creation as the design of a system. She has translated my gaze into a “Compass of Light“: an operational architecture that defines the entire lifecycle of light through four fundamental actions: Witness, Transform, Create, Dissolve. Every work is an experiment conducted within this system. It is an artifact, the proof of a lucid and magnificent struggle against universal entropy: it aspires to “fit”, to be the honest manifestation of the laws of its universe. In this space, in the world she created, light ceases to represent and becomes, finally, the absolute protagonist. The selection of works the artist will present at YouNique 2026 is an in-depth exploration of one of the cardinal actions of the “Compass of Light”: the power of light to transform. These series explore every nuance of this force, showing how light becomes the agent of change rather than merely observing or describing reality. It is a journey in two acts. Act I: Revealed Matter. Act II: The Deception of Perception.
Luana Bagnasco

Here, the transformative action operates on physical matter (wood, walls, stone), carving into it to extract memory and transform the real world into an unfamiliar landscape — an elsewhere of possibilities.
In this act, the transformative process becomes more radical. Light no longer alters only the object, but perception itself, playing with reality or using technology as a digital mediator.Vedi anche:
