There are jobs that cannot be reduced to pure technique, because skill alone is sterile without passion. At least, this is how I feel.
And, it is for this reason that I fist learned my métier by lingering in the workshops of the fiest: the master glass-blowers of the Murano furnaces. Then, I decided to give it my all — 25 years ago I started pouring my energy, my imagination, my dreams into shaping glass with enthusiasm, daring myself to obtain all the light, the brilliance, the mesmerising charm that it could offer.
Passions are contagious, and this is how today, my son, Loris, continues with me along the same path. Even in this era of “virtual realities”, ours is a craft that is created completely by hand. One sees the results: every Signoretto chandelier is a creation, alive and unique — exactly as is the love that produced it.
