Jacopo Berlendis, born in 1989, is an Artist and Architect. He attended the Art High School of Bergamo and graduated in Architectural Sciences at the Politecnico di Milano in 2015. Afterward, he began a period of experimentation in the Balkans, mainly in Albania, where he had the opportunity to engage with the world of contemporary art in all its forms. Since 2017, he has been co-founder of MAU Architecture, an architectural studio operating in fields ranging from Landscape to Interior Design, both locally and internationally. In 2020, he began experimenting with informal and material art, leading to works that combine different techniques and natural elements such as earth and vegetation. With his first commissions, his pictorial identity and current research began to take shape, ranging from abstract to figurative works — always strongly material and three-dimensional, sometimes verging on bas-relief. Jacopo Berlendis creates artworks that go beyond the visual surface, offering an emotional journey through the connection between matter, memory, and meaning. Each work presents itself as an open window onto inner worlds, channeling the artist’s mastery in translating emotions and complex concepts into engaging visual forms. His poetics focus mainly on the human condition as a perpetual journey of discovery and on the reflection of its relationship with the contemporary world.
