Between tradition and innovation: sculpture is a wordless language, capable of encapsulating emotions, stories, and identities. It takes center stage once again at the 6th Edition of YouNique from March 28 to 30, thanks to the works of incredible international artists. In particular, the ancient art of bronze sculpture, powerful and evocative, is well represented among the over 70 exhibitors participating in the Boutique Fair of Arts at Villa Ciani.
YouNique 2025 is an unmissable opportunity to discover captivating artworks, many of which are created by Swiss artists at the historic Fonderia d’Arte Perseo, one of the partners of this new edition of the Boutique Fair. For over 70 years, the Perseo Art Foundry has been a shining example of traditional craftsmanship and artistic expertise, bridging past and future. Specializing in the casting of bronze and silver artworks, it employs cutting-edge techniques that reinterpret ancient methods. A true gem of Switzerland, the foundry is based in Mendrisio. At YouNique 2025, international sculptors shape their visions through materials—especially bronze—transforming the exhibition space into a dialogue between weight and lightness, tradition and innovation, form and absence.
At the heart of this contemporary art encounter stands Atelier DATI, the creative collaboration of Tina Itin and Dario Pasqualino Norelli. Their works, crafted in Pfäffikon, Zurich, embody duality: heavy yet fleeting, comprehensible yet controversial, filled with both love and tension.
Francesca Petrarca shapes bronze to convey the strength of human connections, while Paolo Grassi explores universal themes through a sculptural language that combines bronze, aluminum, and plexiglass, achieving a perfect balance between material and color.
Movement and plasticity guide the hand of Tania Gottraux, who explores the irony of forms and the lightness of gesture, creating sculptures that play with unlikely positions and subtle dynamics.
Sculpture becomes introspection with Susanna De Angelis Gardel, whose anonymous and timeless figures reflect the depth of the human soul, while Jörg Auer infuses his work with his background in illustration, engraving, and science, transforming his art into a visual and tactile narrative.
The art of Carlo Minelli is deeply rooted in tradition, with forging as his technique of choice to shape an artistic vision refined over time. In the works of Amani Zreba, recurring themes such as transformation, the relationship between humans and nature, femininity, and mythology take center stage.
With MuiT, Tiziana Mucchiani weaves the essence of diverse cultures into her art, creating vibrant and textured works that celebrate vitality and the perpetual cycle of existence. Through a dedicated, constant, and passionate artistic exploration, Elisabeth Hübscher strives to resolve the complexity of reality with strength and grace, offering a luminous and optimistic vision of existence.
Irena Dragova returns to YouNique with sculptures of strong identity. Her art stands out for its authentic originality: each piece is born from a precise mental process, into which she infuses a unique tactile element, transforming it into a distinctive signature. Her craftsmanship and deep connection to the artisan dimension give concrete form to her ideas, making each creation instantly recognizable. Finally, the magnetic bronze corals by Claudia Hartmann convey the fascination felt in the presence of complex and mysterious natural forms, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the silent contemplation of the ocean depths, savoring the peace and tranquility of a reality where time seems suspended.
Voices, visions, ideas, a single material that transforms: bronze sculpture, in all its nuances, tells its story at YouNique 2025.
