My professional background is based on metal processing (I have a “goldsmith degree”) and illustration courses activity even tough in manufacturing “artistic pieces” of felted wool and natural fibers (i.e. silk, hemp etc.), I have found my ideal artistic role.
My job peculiarity is represented by creating images on felted wool not using pictures or painting but using an entire manual technique in assembling the wool and the natural fibers.
After a sensible research of natural raw material, the wool and the fibers are assembled by massaging them several time using water and soap until to get an “artistic image” as a result of changing the fibers in felted wool, the threat in images and the mark in faces.
My project aim is to add value to the Italian handicraft, by creating artisan works manually treated to get “unique” artistic pieces suitable for fashion, furniture and art sectors.
