TALK:  AI: ALLY OR ENEMY OF CONTEMPORARY ART?

A Dialogue between Creativity and Technology

Art has always been a reflection of the human soul. It is the result of a union between the artist’s intuition and the tools at his disposal. With the advent of generative artificial intelligence, this union is radically transformed, introducing a new variable into the creative process: the machine.

AI, with its ability to process enormous amounts of data and generate original content, offers artists an unprecedented set of tools. We can imagine it as a sort of digital muse, capable of suggesting new combinations, exploring stylistic territories never before explored and expanding the boundaries of our creativity. So if on the one hand we have a series of potentialities, what are the risks?

The introduction of AI into the artistic field raises a series of ethical and legal questions. Who is the author of a work generated by artificial intelligence? What are the copyrights? And, most importantly, how can we ensure that AI-created art retains intrinsic value and is not reduced to simple imitation?
