The history of the brand E. Marinella originates in 1914 with the decision of Eugenio Marinella to open a store at Piazza Vittoria, along the elegant boulevard Riviera di Chiaia in Naples, an upscale area where the upper classes – Neapolitan aristocrats – enjoyed taking long strolls along the seafront.
He turned a 20 sqm shop into a tiny corner of England and he regularly travelled to the province of Manchester to personally select the fabrics.
These colourful and ever-changing patterns, were used by experienced tailors for the production of handmade and bespoke shirts and ties (which will finally become the E. Marinella iconic item over the years) that gradually contributed to widely establish the brand E. Marinella as a trade mark of elegance all over the world.
